About Me

My name is Rylee Restoule

I come from the small town of Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. I'm Ojibwe from Dokis First Nation, and my first language is French. I'm 22 years old, and I've just graduated from Trent University with a degree in Biology specialized in Health Sciences in May of this year. In my free time, I enjoy working out, running, and spending time outdoors. I like to crochet, read, and to do beadwork. I haven't done much travelling since the start of my post-secondary journey, but I plan to do so as soon as I'm done school.

I aspire to work in Indigenous Health Policy once I'm finished with my studies. I work closely with Health Sciences North, a hospital in Sudbury, Ontario, sitting on both the Patient and Family Advisory Board & the Indigenous Health Advisory Council. Working to ensure that Indigenous peoples and those who live in rural Northern Ontario receive full, well-rounded healthcare is very important to me, and I believe that I can expand my knowledge of the Canadian health care system through my studies.
